The group members constitute a strong team for translational breast cancer (BC) research with a well-functioning infrastructure representing the basis for a number of large multicenter prospective translational/clinical studies within breast and lung cancer. The members have close interaction with the clinic and with the national clinical groups. The institute has been active in research related to
The principle role in the CANCER-ID project will be to provide valuable clinical samples from blood and primary tumours, cross-testing of technical methods and clinical validation.
- isolated tumour cells in bone marrow and blood (detection technologies, standardisation and clinical validation)
- molecular biology of breast and lung cancer
- exploring the systems biology of breast cancer using high dimensional data in integrated approaches
- ctDNA and miRNA in blood, and whole genome sequencing of single cells (DTCs/CTCs).
