The Cambridge Cancer Centre, an OECI-accredited Comprehensive Cancer Centre, is a partnership between the University of Cambridge, Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Cancer Research UK.
The Centre is a dynamic collaboration of researchers, clinicians, and the pharmaceutical and biotech industries based in the Cambridge area. It combines world-class science and technology with excellent patient care to pioneer new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer.
The group of Professor Carlos Caldas, based at both the University and Hospital, has been a pioneer in developing ctDNA in breast cancer. Prof Caldas will be co-leading the studies in HER2-positive breast cancer, using ctDNA/CTCs to unravel mechanisms of resistance to HER2-targeted therapies.
